How do I achieve the best results on my hands and feet?Updated 2 months ago

Over the years, our team has worked out the best routine for tanning these tricky spots, so you can acheive the best tanning results on tricky spots like your hands and feet.

  • Prep is key: Ensure you have correctly prepared your skin before tanning by exfoliating thoroughly 24 hours beforehand.
  • Moisturise: As your hands and feet are typically drier skin areas, it is so important to generously apply moisturiser or lotion liberally to your hands, wrists, ankles and feet immediately before tanning.
  • Application: Stretch your fingers into a claw shape and use a sweeping motion to apply and blend a small amount of your chosen mousse onto your hands using your Flawless Blending Brush. Don’t forget to blend into the sides of your fingers, the indents of your knuckles and over your wrists. In the same sweeping motion, apply the tan to your feet and toes with the leftover tan. Take care around your toes and ankles, ensuring all areas are covered evenly.
  • Perfect it: Using a wet wipe, remove any unwanted tan from your palms, soles of your feet, nails and cuticles. This will ensure your tan looks natural and flawless once it has developed.
  • Rinse and moisturise: To soften your results and stop the tan from over-developing on your hands and feet, you can rinse the tan off earlier than the rest of your body. Our self-tanning experts have also found that applying moisturiser to your hands and feet after letting the tan develop for 30 minutes to an hour will leave you with natural looking results.
